NETFOSS is a Freeware TCP/IP FOSSIL Driver for Windows 2003, XP, 2000, and NT4. It is considerably faster and smaller then any other Windows FOSSIL driver, and is fully compliant with the FOSSIL revision 5 specification. NETFOSS works with both DOS and Win32 BBS programs, allowing all FOSSIL aware DOS doors to be run over a telnet connection. You can download it from http://www.netfoss.com. Let me know if you are interesting in joining the beta team. Version 0.9.3 is a minor update that provides even faster Zmodem file transfers, up to 280,000 CPS when using Public Domain Zmodem (PDZmodem), or up to 28,500 CPS when using FDSZ. . Regards, Mike Ehlert NETFOSS Developer

LORD for OS/2 (alpha) released
I was given the unique opportunity a few evenings ago to test an alpha release of Legend of the Red Dragon that was using an OS/2-native EXE. To both my and Michael (Preslar, LORD's developer) suprise, it worked nicely. OS/2 sysops will notice a definite improvement in speed as well as no measurable CPU usage unlike the older DOS versions.
However, there are several caveats:
- You /HAVE/ to use DOOR32.SYS to use this door. See below for my solution for
this.
- IGMs have NOT been tested. I don't have any IGMs installed yet, so this is still in
testing (and discovery).

"Okay folks.. Lord 4.07 has been ""in the works"" for too long now. For me to release it, I have to feel comfortable that it is as bug-free as I can make it.
"Now heres the catch: I've purposely left bugs in just to see if people would report them, and no one does.
So I'm asking anyone that's willing.. Please give the 4.07 binaries a shot and report _all_ bugs to me.
To get the 4.07 binaries, send an email to files@lordlegacy.com with a subject of ""send me lord"" (no quotes, gets dos version) or a subject of ""send me lord32"" (no quotes, gets win32/door32 version)

VADV32 (the telnet front-end for Virtual Advanced BBS) has been updated to version 2.2. This new version contains many new improvements. It now contains all of VConfig plus many configuration options not found anywhere else. Includes a redesigned user editor and an all new function block editor. The new update notification feature will automatically notify you if an update is available for download and allow you to download it. Plus much more! "Doors that rely on the accuracy of the ""SBBSNODE"" environment variable will
have a problem running on one or all Synchronet v3.13a-Win32 nodes *if* you set
the SBBSNODE environment variable in your system.
Examples of a door that could have problems include all XSDK doors (Synchronet
BBS List, Blackjack, and Match Maker), Domain Entertainment doors (Beast's
Domain, Poker, Dicewar, etc.), and Evan Elias' doors (DoorMUD and Tournament
Trivia).
The fix is to simply *remove* the SBBSNODE environment variable from your
system's environment variable list.

"A couple of patches are available for Synchronet v3.13a-Win32 already:
mailsrvr.dll 164k v3.13a-Win32 patch: fixes crashes with FTN attachments
websrvr .dl 144k v3.13a-Win32 patch: fixes intermittent CGI failures
